02FEB2018 - JUNIOR BUNKER TRADER - Korea Market

Job purpose
Support the Trading manager in the handling, negotiation, fixing, and implementation of supply and sales contracts and day-to-day operational matters for Korea Market.  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and coordination with suppliers (including refiners, traders, barge operators) to provide timely updates and settle operational issues with the main stakeholders
• Establish and build relationships with customers and suppliers
• Lead in the account set up and credit reviews for target accounts
• Generate and fix enquiries for supply to Korean accounts in ports internationally through close coordination and collaboration with the regional sourcing centres
• Manage all aspects of the deal – from enquiry, fixture, operational updates, settlement of claims and disputes, and payments
• Ensure close after sales follow up and service to the customer including invoicing and AR
• Ensure the timely and accurate updating on activities in our key systems, and manage all relevant documentation
• Provide updates on competitor activities and opportunities to the Group
• Provide regular information and insights on the Korean market developments on supply, sales, and regulations

Required Knowledge and Skills

• 1-2 years’ work experience, preferably in the bunker industry in Korea
• A high drive and commercial acumen
• Fluent in spoken and written Korean
• Proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel 
• The ability to develop excellent external relationships
• Meticulous, numerate and ability to work independently 
• Humble and hard working
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Knowledge of the oil and bunker industry will be a distinct advantage
