MM Marine is the shipping subsidiary of Mercuria, operating as a separate branch, fully-owned by Mercuria Energy Group. We operate more than 50 oceangoing product tankers, coastal tankers, floating storage tankers and tank barges. We provide shipping services to third-party charterers and to Minerva Bunkering, one of the world’s leading physical suppliers of marine fuels, which is also fully-owned by Mercuria Energy Group.
Job Description
As a Crew Operator you will be assigned the responsibility of a group of vessels and by using your experience and knowledge, you will assume the coordination of crewing activities of your ships on a daily basis. Main focus areas are:
Compliance with MLC and Flag requirements
Managing recruitment, planning and scheduling of shipboard personnel
Administration of medical examination and training of seafarers
Review of seafarer qualifications, experience, certification
Coordination of crew travel arrangements
As member of the Crew Department, you will report to the Crew Manager and will have the support of dedicated colleagues to familiarize yourself with the fleet. The company culture values cooperation and encourages active participation in continuously improving our procedures and systems.

Education, Abilities & Skills
University Degree in Shipping & Maritime Studies or Social Sciences
Minimum 3 years working experience in the crew department of a shipping company
Excellent English communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and good knowledge of maritime applications.
Initiative and independence.
Strong safety culture.
