First LSFO 0.5% S bunker delivery to the vessel MT UACC Ras Tanura at Cochin port and to the vessel MT Harmony at Paradeep port was made on 4th November 2019.

IndianOil had earlier commenced LSFO 0.5% bunker deliveries at Kandla port from 26th October 2019 and received excellent response from the domestic as well as foreign shipping companies since then.

Bunkering operations at Kochi port is of strategic importance as this port is located on East – Middle East/Suez shipping lanes. By keeping the LSFO 0.5% S bunker fuel prices comparable to the bunker prices at major bunkering hubs in Asia region, IndianOil aims to supply reliable quality bunker fuel to the vessels on these international shipping lanes.

IndianOil has LSFO 0.5% S production capacity of over 1.0 million tonnes per annum and can cater to the majority of bunker fuel demand in India. This bunker fuel is produced from sweet Crude Oil grades and complies ISO 8217:2017 RMG 380/180 standards. The fuel addresses all quality considerations detailed by International Organization of Standardisation in its recently released ISO 23263:2019 document.
