We are now seeking candidates who have a basic understanding of Vessel Propulsion and Commercial Operations, and view themselves as “Digital Natives”. With this we are seeking candidates with keen interest in analysing vessel data, and evolving its use to better support our Commercial and Operations departments.

The scope of this role is not limited to fuel and performance analytics alone, as the role will also include supporting Commercial Chartering and Operations with real-time analytics from an increasingly connected fleet. Due to the 24/7 nature of our activities, the role may require you to work partly off normal hours.

Skills And Experience

You have relevant marine education either as Nautical Officer, Marine Engineer or Naval Architect.

You probably have at least 3-5 years of industry experience in similar or operational role.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and comparable analytical tools.

You also have a proven record of working with data using standard BI tools.

Ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

A good verbal and written English.

Review and assess vessel fuel and speed performance and update profiles.

Monitor hull degradation and report continually to Operations and Chartering.

Through system managed algorithms, track a number of operational parameters across the fleet, and after your own assessment escalate to relevant Operator / Manager / Charterer.

Contribute to an evolving effort of building new IoT driven processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency as well as commercial optimisation.

Perform ad-hoc analysis as required by Commercial / Projects staff.
