According to a survey on global Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Bunkering vessels (LNGBV), five LNG bunker vessels (LNGBV) are in service and ten are lined up for construction. The Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Bunkering vessels (LNGBV) are becoming favorable choice due to efficient bunkering operations provided via ship to ship (STS) bunkering method. Bunkering refers to the process of transferring oil or cargo to a ship. STS in terms of LNG refers to transfer of liquified natural Gas between two ships.
