17JAN2018 - JOB - Mandarin speaking Bunker Trader Trainee (Bunker Trading Intern, Dubai, Middle East) - Dan-Bunkering

Dan-Bunkering is looking for a talented Bunker Trading Intern to join our six-month trainee programme at our office in Dubai. If you are successful, after the six-month programme you will be offered a full-time position as Bunker Trader in our Shanghai office.
You will assist the trading team in the day to day trading of bunker fuel, and work closely with both internal as well as external stakeholders.

Programme Structure

• You will have a mentor within the trading team who will take the lead in your theoretical learning, providing detailed training on the industry you will be working in
• The next step will be to establish an understanding of the market as well as developing your own relationships and sourcing channels
• Your progress will be reviewed throughout the programme and at the end of the six months, if you are deemed to be a good match with the group, you will be offered a permanent position as Bunker Trader in our Shanghai office

Day to day tasks

• Support the trading team by assisting in market research, order handling and various other tasks related to trading
• Participate in client and supplier visits
• Approach new business

The ideal candidate

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree or similar
• Has a proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese. Additional language skills will be an advantage
• You are a fast learner who likes to win
• A successful salesperson
• Independent as well as a team player
• Social and has a proactive approach to sales
• Flexible individual who can work beyond normal office hours
• Ambitious with a high level of energy
