Our client is part of large international group with global trading and shipping operations.  They are seeking a bunker trader with experience in the Japanese market. This role can be based in Japan or Singapore.

• Running your own desk you will be responsible for building up and catering to your own customer portfolio. Conducting market research to identify new customers and winning new business.
• As a Bunker Trader you will act as a link between the customers and suppliers, collecting and distributing prices and technical information.
• The Bunker Trader position will also focus on the total supply chain, stock management, supplier control and optimization.Planning ideal bunkering ports for the voyage the vessel is planning.
• Marketing the company to 3rd party customers

Background Profile

• 1-3 years experience trading
• Proven ability to develop Business with a strong sales track record
• Experience with the procedures, specifications within the shipping and oil business is a clear advantage
• IT proficient, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Experience with CRM systems is an advantage
• Fluent, written/verbal in English (negotiation level) and Japanese.
• Energetic, ambitious, team player
• Must have knowledge of the local market in Japanese.
