Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international energy group looking to hire a bunker trader in Singapore or Japan to grow their coverage of the Japanese market.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Responsible for developing the bunker trading business in the region with a focus on the Japanese market
• Carry out market research and analysis to identify and promote the company to potential new customers
• Work with and communicate regularly with suppliers and 3rd part customers
• Manage bunkers for company’s own fleet including organising bunkering ports for voyages
• Role reports to Senior Bunker Trader

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 1-3 years’ experience as a bunker trader in the APAC region covering Marine Gas Oil (MGO), Marine Fuel Oil (MFO), Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), Marine Diesel Oil (MDO), Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO) etc.)
• Must be a Japanese speaker
• Transferable book of business is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of the bunker market in the Northeast Asia and wider Asia Pacific regions
• Can be based in Japan or Singapore
