Our client, one of the world's largest value-added resellers and physical suppliers of marine fuels and petroleum products and services has recently announced an exciting new opportunity for fulltime Bunker Trader (Marine Fuels) based in our US office.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career to its full potential with the support of the Lead Trader Americas and the US Team, along with the Group's extensive resource base and global reach.

Job Purpose: The Bunker Trader will be required to develop and originate the marine fuels trading activity for the US Office, in line with the Group strategy to successfully aid in the delivery and achievement of business objectives.

Responsibilities include :

Negotiate between the clients and suppliers, execution of trade deals with optimized margin from enquiry stage, negotiation, closing the deal, deal confirmation and monitoring the deliveries.
Business development by adding the new customers and / or broadening activities with existing customers.
Develop and maintain relationships with the various clients and suppliers noting any special requirements onto internal system.
Resolve any queries/discrepancies following Group Policies & Procedures.
Track market movements, analyse oil trends & keep up to date on financial news.

Skills/Qualifications:

3 to 5 years' previous proven experience as a Bunker Trader.
Understanding of the oil trading industry, in particular in-depth product knowledge.
Bachelor's degree is preferable.
Proactive Team Player with good attention to detail and great communication skills.
Diligent and driven characteristics.
Additional language skills are advantageous.
