Search are working with an Asian Bunker Trading company looking to add a bunker manager to set up a new office in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Sole responsibility to set up and develop new trading desk for back to back bunkers in Shanghai
Responsible for developing and maintaining bunker trading business in the region as well as managing customer inquiries or operational issues
Build a viable trading business leveraging on strong client background and assets throughout the oil supply chain in Asia
Recruit and train a team of physical back to back bunker traders from Shanghai trading in the Chinese and global bunker markets
Reports into the Global Head of Trading
Key Qualifications / Experience
5+ years’ experience in physical bunker trading (Marine Gas Oil (MGO), Marine Fuel Oil (MFO), Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), Marine Diesel Oil (MDO), Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO) etc.)
Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of bunker trading and operations with ability to pass on knowledge to develop an effective team of traders
Excellent network within the bunker and shipping industries
Located in Shanghai or happy to relocate
