Job description 
Cockett Group, one of the world’s largest value-added resellers and physical suppliers of marine fuels and petroleum products and services has recently announced an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Supply Trader to be based in our Dubai Office.
 
Job Purpose:
The role is designed to train and give responsibility to an individual trader in the Dubai international supply / trading team, to lead the day-to-day business, as well as business development and growth in the core and growth products. The employee is required to work with the Line Manager to expand strategic supply and weekly business meetings with the Line Manager and supply team will be initiated to give a formal forum of discussion considering the status and improvement measures to be done. 
The incumbent will work closely with the Cockett Group Technical, Credit and Finance departments, to ensure efficient handling of claims and payments, credit line and funding optimization and in turn streamlining operations. As part of the Greece integration with the Group, the individual will be required to lead supply marketing in the region. 

Responsibilities:

Assist and support in developing the structured supply in region and sales development throughout generating sales leads and providing market intelligence to support customer trader.
Respond to the inquiries received in the local office from other offices. 
Provide quotations for bunkers and additional market information and negotiate with customer trader to win business and communicate confirmation of agreement. 
Ensure and monitor the smooth delivery in conjunction with customer trader and operations executive. 
Maintain / provide the up to date information on prices, movement and availabilities as required/requested.  
As part of the physical supply team, achieve the budget and performance KPI whilst acting professionally and in line with the Group's values and principles at all times. 
Conclude physical supply with awareness of and adherence to the Group’s strategic objectives regarding acceptable margins. 
Business development - communicate with management and supply team regarding developments on new or existing clients/suppliers. Market research for the Group’s sales leads. 
Cooperation with post-fixture team to potentially mitigate the future claims. 
Develop and initiate internal marketing for Country/Region. 
Use of VISTA to ensure the proper documentation of all supplies / trades. 
Adherence to all Group’s policies, processes, procedures, systems, Employee Handbook and relevant legislation – quality assurance, resolving queries / discrepancies. 

Skills/Qualifications:
English – Written & Verbal (Fluent) 
Greek, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu – proficiency in any of the mentioned languages is an advantage 
Advanced proficiency in Excel 
Minimum of Highschool/A-level education diploma 

Required Experience:

Previous proven experience in bunker / supply trading is preferable. 
History of sales or marketing is an advantage.
